Nature Journaling for Bushcare Volunteers [Private Workshops]
Dates: Saturday 2nd May, 2026
Time: 8:00am - 11:00am
Location:Berrinba Wetlands, Browns Plains, Qld
This outdoor workshop introduces Bushcare volunteers to simple, practical nature journaling techniques that support on-ground conservation work.
This session focuses on strengthening observation skills and building confidence in recognising and comparing native and invasive plant species. Through guided demonstrations and a hands-on field component, participants will explore how journaling can assist with weed awareness, habitat understanding and long-term ecological changes.
You’ll learn how to observe plants more closely, record useful field notes using simple sketches and short annotations, compare species side-by-side, and use journaling as a memory tool during regular Bushcare activities.
No drawing experience is required. The emphasis is on clarity, curiosity, and noticing , not artistic skill.
Suitable for Bushcare volunteers of all experience levels.
